Creative direction & design

The NIHR SSCR approached me to design a summary infographic to showcase their world-leading research in social care. After the initial briefing, I advised them that a different format was needed to capture the impact of the studies at a level of detail that was meaningful to their audience.

I worked with the Mary, the Unit lead, to create a short questionnaire that was circulated to the wider researcher team. This allowed us to collect comparable data across the projects - and served as a useful jumping off point to start thinking about format and dissemination.

After the data was collated and synthesised down, wireframes were produced to test the feasibility of the format and to share with the wider team, keeping them abreast of progress. Multiple feedback points were worked into the project plan to allow ownership by the multiple stakeholders.

The final design formed a A5 infographic booklet that showcased the projects in a succinct and impactful way; the design of each project page was optimised for dissemination across social media as a standalone digital asset.
